Girls and Boys: Active Citizens in our Country and the World
Dear students, we are happy to tell you that this project will give you the opportunity to learn about different topics of your interest. You will be able to Participate in forums, express and share your ideas and opinions, design and creating audiovisual products. We are looking forward to see your products.
This Collaborative Project is a bridge for you, Girls and Boys in our School communities, to participate in diverse activities.
These activities are basically related to watching videos and producing video tasks in which Girls and Boys from different national and global contexts are involved.
The idea is that YOU, Girls and Boys, reflect on those videos and create some others in which you communicate with significant views, ideas and expectations about your roles in society.
The Project goal is to guide students to:
1. Understand the role of girls and Boys as citizens who are active participants in their communities in different parts of the world.
2. Use English as a bridge to connect to Girls and Boys in diverse cultures and communities in the national and global contexts.
3. Handle listening and speaking skills in order to understand other Girls and Boys form different cultures and communities around the world.
You will be able to introduce topics that connect to your realities in your contexts: family, friends, neighborhoods, and other social topics of your interest regarding a new Colombian historical process: The Post-Conflict process.
You will be able to communicate with other Girls and Boys from other contexts and share and exchange your own views, ideas and experiences about being Active Citizens in your Communities and in your Country.
